Copying DTS Package from 2000 SQL to 2005 SQL

    Hello,

    I have this DTS package in my Development Server running SQL2000 and I want to try to copy this package to my Production Server running SQL 2005,

    I would much appreciatassistancece in regard to this,

    Save the package as a file then, in SQL Server Management Studio Object Exporer, expand Management, Legacy, right-click "Data Transformation Services", and select "Import Package File".

    Could you please let me know How I can get the developer to have read permission to the package and read permission to the job I created,

    To tell the truth, I haven't figured out how to give a developer access to DTS packages in SQL 2005. As for jobs, check out the SQLAgentReaderRole database role in BooksOnLine.
