The Summit

  • The Summit

I've been very lucky to have attended 5 PASS Summits over the year with the one tomorrow being my 6th. This is my third in Seattle and I've enjoyed all of them, meeting new people and learning a few things that I can use every time.

The SQLServerCentral.com crew is flying in today, meeting up for our annual board meeting tonight and getting everything ready for our reception tomorrow night. What's become an annual event and something that many people look forward to is a lot of work, but a lot of fun as well.

I'm a little surprised the party didn't grow too much this year. I guess we didn't get the word out or maybe lots of you in the community haven't been able to travel to the Summit. However we're still looking forward to a fun night of casino games and lots of prizes.

And if any of you are last minute registers, including on site, be sure to use the "SSC" source code.

Now if I can just get the XBOX 360 prize to Seattle before my son finds it and opens it.

  • Hi Steve  -

Just a guess, but the turnout might have been higher if PASS weren't scheduled for the week after SQL Server Connections in Las Vegas.  I could do one, but not the other.  I chose Connections (and I liked it quite a bit), but I sure would have liked to gone to PASS too.

Hpoefully next year the timing will be better.

    Best regards,

    Dexter

  • It was just too expensive for me. I can't ask my company to pay for it cuz I just started. Sucks cuz I do have a few friends there.

  • I am going and I hope that I got in on the SSC party.  I registered for the conference in January and I am not sure if the code got entered on my registration.  I attended last years party and it was a blast.

  • Hope to see you there!

If you couldn't go, lobby for next year. It's supposed to be in Denver, not sure when!
