HI
I have installed MS sql server 2005 services on Windows Xp Home Edition. But When I try to configure Report Services ..it says No report server is installed on specified system. Moreover when I try to connect ,it says invalid namespace for my compurt name.
Moreover H/w requirenment says MS sql server 2005 Reporting services says it requires IIS5.0 or later version to be installed.
WindowsXp Home edition doesnt have IIS installed nor it can be installed .
So is it the case that I cannt create a report on Windows XP home edition
Please help me in this regard :

Hi aditya,
While trying to find information on Microsoft Reporting tools, I came across this website :

IT might help you.

It is possible to install IIS on XP Home, if you have a CD for Win 2000. You copy certain files from the i386 folder and adjust some config settings. I did it, it worked, but lost the original link - here's another version of how to do it:

Just to re-confirm what William Mitchell said above about your comment
"WindowsXp Home edition doesnt have IIS installed nor it can be installed"
It can be installed... just not by default. You have to go back to the media and select it.
and you DO need it
Thank-you,
