Hi everyone!
I am new to BI, my question is about browsing SSAS OLAP cubes with SQL Reporting Services. I would like to bring the Cube Browser we use in the Bussiness Intelligence studio to a Sql Server Reporting Services Report, but I do not know if this is possible since I want to give my end-users the chance to drill down, drill up, change layouts, etc. interactively in the same report and the cube browser shows to be very handy.
Thanks!!

MS Excel is an option, connect to an SSAS cube from Excel and then you have the slice & dice view much like Pivot tables. Another option could be to create a Report Model and then let users build there own reports using Report Builder, this tool is shipped with Reporting Services and is easily installed on user pc's.
Otherwize if none of these suite your needs then other tools are available that are excellent for cube browsing such as ProClarity, Cognos, Business Objects, ect. But then again you will need to spend money to get these tools.
Anyone got any other ideas?

MS has also published several sample projects and some controls for cube browsers. MS Access also has a cube browser control. Excel with Sharepoint and Proclarity (which is now part of MS Dynamics) is what Microsoft drives you to use for allowing users to build their own reports through SSAS.
