I have logshipping setup and it works fine until my backup job kicks in. I have Backup express sQl Agent. it makes a transaction backup which breaks my logshipping because logshipping is looking for the log which was backup by BEX in to tape. I don`t want to stop backing up my DB and i also want Logshipping going too. Is there any way around this?

I do not think you can have two sets of transactional backups. But you may try to use the transactional backup for log shipping for your tasks.

Hi,
Why don't you do a daily SQL Server backup for your principle database(s), which won't break your log chain, then backup the .BAK file with BEX. The log backups for logshipping can also be backed up by BEX from their logshipping directory.
