SQL Server Active Directory Helper Service fails to start

  SQL Server Active Directory service fails anytime that I attempt to start it. The SQL Server Active Directory Helper service terminated with service-specific error 3221225572 (0xC0000064).

  From the documentation I have found that error is related to a user name error though the username was defined during installation. I am running XP SP2 and MS SQL Server 2005 - 9.00.3402. The username for this service is specified as NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE. This is a valid user name.

  Any help would be appreciated.
