Had a round of updates the other day and now Studio takes several minutes to launch. Anyone else notice this? Any suggestions/fixes?

I'm running sql2005 sp2 cu6 (client) and I also have the impression the first start takes longer than before.
btw:
did you disable the InternetExplorer settings / advanced / Security "Check for publishers certificate revocation" ?

No - how much change does that setting make?
I'm trying to get the update to go through, see if that helps.

SSMS launches very rapidly for me. Second or two of splash screen, then straight to server selection and login data.

you can even avoid the splash screen by adding /nosplash to the shortcut statement.

That doesn't speed it up. It just removes the splash screen. For me, the splash screen popping up tells me I don't need to try clicking it again. (It generally takes about 3 milliseconds for me to get bored and try again if I don't see the result I want.)

You can complete the steps outlined at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555686 to see drastic results in load times.
