Hi,
this is my first 2K5 replication attempt.
I have server which is acting as Publisher + Distributor.
My replicated DB is 450MB pre-replication setup and after it is around 820mb. Is this normal? I'm using merge rep.
I don't recall this large a size difference in 2000.
Any ideas?

Before applying the initial snapshot make sure your DB is in SIMPLE or BULK_LOGGED recovery mode. In addition use native snapshot or increase the number of bcp threads if you want concurrent snapshot option. When your snapshot is done change recovry mode to Full and back the DB up.
Good luck.

Thanks for the advice...
It turns out the log file was using an additional 100mb.
Cheers.
