Over the last three years, since that first article I submitted to SQLServerCentral, I find myself getting involved in more and more projects. Recently, I agreed to teach a two day T-SQL course for End to End Training. I have to admit, Steve, Brian and Andy have really helped me get to where I am today by providing several opportunities. Anyway, part of the deal is that I would need to write the courseware for the class. Of course I have needed to write numerous 90 minute presentations and some half-day training courses for my job. This has been a lot more work. I have spent every weekend and many evenings over the last three months working on this. It is basically like writing a small book.
The cool thing for me about writing is that if I go back and look at something I wrote two months ago, it is like reading someone else's work. Even though the course was written by me, I don't really remember the exact text when I look at it now. The other cool thing is that by teaching someone else, I end up learning even more. I am really looking forward to the course on March 31 - April 1. I'm sure there are still a couple of spots left, so be sure to recommend it to anyone you know who needs to learn T-SQL.
