Can I run import/export wizard from a client SSMS session pointing to a sql2000 installation?

    Can I use Management Studio from a client (specifically import/export wizard) when point to a sql2000 installation? Is there anything special that needs to be done in order to do this? Thanks.

    Yes, you can use the wizard to import/export to/from a SQL 2000 database. It seems to work better if you use the OLE DB data source provider.

    yes, you can use 2005 import/export wizard to point to a sql 2000 database
