How the Insert statement works

  Hi,

  May be it is a silly question.........

  How exactly will the Insert Statement works.Weather data will be inserted in row by row or column by column. How exactly internally it works.

  Not sure if  understand you quetion correct, but an Insert will always be executed per row. You can't just insert a column.
