How to reset the initial values of global variables

    We are moving our packages to a new server, and server name is a global variable for all the packages, how do we reset the initial value of this server name global variable to the new server name? Thanks in advance.

    I don't think that you can do this all at once. What I do with my portable packages is start with a dynamic properties task that looks at a INI file accessible somewhere on the network. If you do this to your packages now, next time you need to move them you only need change the INI file.

    If you just want to change the variable in each package, you need to go to the Global Variables tab of the Package Properties dialog; either right- click somewhere on some empty space in the designer and select properties or choose Properties from the Package menu.
