Steve finally got the bugs worked out of the recent blog software upgrade and RSS should be available again. Note that the new URL for this blog is http://feeds.feedburner.com/itdepends, and if you subscribe to the SSC aggregate feed, the new URL is http://blogs.sqlservercentral.com/MainFeed.aspx. I also finally got around to writing some 'about' text that will tell you a little more about me and my goals for the blog, you can see that at http://blogs.sqlservercentral.com/andy_warren/about.aspx.
I've been wanting to try Feedburner for a while; they offer some really nice services for blogs. Of them, the most interesting to me is a better view of which posts resonate (# reads). I don't want to post for clicks, but as a writer (and hopefully a thoughtful kinda guy) it's interesting to see to which topics do generate interest and which don't. That might lead me to post again, more deeply, on posts that did well, or lead me to try again on posts that didn't do well. In practice I imagine it will only trigger either of those behaviors rarely, but I've been around long enough to know that it's good to have metrics for any project worth doing.
