SQL Server 2005 Mounted Volume Support

  • Does anyone know where I can find documentation for this? We are looking at consolidating and I can see that we will run out of drive letters before we run out of instances. Mounted Volumes may help avoid that.

  • SQL Server 2000 support it.  Why wouldn't 2005?

  • Thanks -  I did find that SQL 2000 supports it in a non-clustered environment (which I wasn't aware of) and 2005 adds clusters.
