Here is my environment:
Moved a 2000 sql db over to a 2005 sql server, and have refreshed my Access front end link manager to point to the new server. I have also updated my ODBC/DSN to call out the new server.
Im connecting to the sql db via SQL Server login (which exists with the same rights and password) on the new server.
But now, every time I run a query in Access, I get prompted to insert the password for the user...once I do, all is fine....but...
HOW DO I NOT GET PROMPTED FOR A PASSWORD EVERY TIME ?....by using a sql server login in the ODBC connection (and not windows login).
Thank you so much...below is a screen shot

you could use a trusted connection or a file DSN

How do i use a trusted connection ?
Because when the SQL Server login prompt pops up, I check 'trusted connection' and Im able to run my query...but the next time I open up the Access db, Im prompted again for SQL Server login.

You can change that in the connection options in Access. File -> Connection

Please see my reply posted at 8:47 pm...that solution works one time, but the next time I use the Access database, I get the same prompt.
To recap the question: how do I bypass the SQL Server login prompt, when using a Access 2003 front-end application, with a 2005 sql server database with a ODBC connection.
