Installing 2005 Stnd for the first time and I had to restart the install because IIS was not installed on the box.
My Infrastructure guys kinda gave me a hard time about it and wanted to know what components of SQL Server 2005 needed IIS and what are the minimum IIS components needed.
I can't find this information anywhere.. can anyone help?

You need IIS 6.0 if you are installing SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services as well. Without IIS, Reporting Services cannot work. Mind you, that requirement is eliminated in SQL 2008, ie. Reporting Services no longer needs IIS for its operation.
