I am currently running Transactional replication from one database to another . I am then running merge replication on some of the replicated tables through web synchronization to a desktop application.
The problem I am having is that the transactional replication has stopped working and i am getting the following error.
Cannot drop the table 'X' because it is being used for replication.
I have tried changing the properties of what to do when the object exists but it always creates an error because the table is being used for replication.
Can anybody help?

You have to remove it from replication.

Drop the subscribers, then drop the table.

Thanks for your suggestions. I was trying to get transactional replication to work with Merge replication but found out that is not possible. You can only use merge with merge.
