I'd like Your opinion on backup suite You used ( or still using) and current one.What would be
industry standard-considering price versus features?

That's a very complicated question these days. I prefer Quest LiteSpeed, but the other major players are Red-Gate SQL Backup, and Hyperbac.
They've all got their strengths, but you won't be disappointed with any of them. They'll all do you right. You just need to pick the one with the features you like the best.

Am a developer and since one of my clients is a Small Enterprise for now am doing the DB maintenance. The system I have built for him is hosted on a webhost provided. Now do any of the tools mentioned help in such cases where we might not have too many admin privileges.

No, any 3rd party backup software will require you to be able to install something on windows itself. If that's not something you have access to, then you're stuck with the native sql backup toolset.

We use Sql Server native backup for backing up medium sized databases. In few servers where there are large databases we use litespeed. The compression of the backup file is excellent and hence we can save a lot of space.
