I have just restored a SQL 2000 DB to SQL 2005, all went very well. I then realised that it started to build a new full text catalog, which would not have been a problem as it is required by the application, but it decided to create in on the OS partition and there is not that much space there.
I detached the DB, moved the catalog files and reattached it. SQL correctly asked me if I knew where the catalog files have moved to or if I wanted to create new ones and I have pointed it in the correct location. The problem I have now is that the log files for the search service are in the same folder as the error log and SQL agent log and they are over 2GB in size. I can find out how to move the error log, but I cannot find any examples of moving the FTS log. Does anyone have any ideas on this???
