"cannot open database requested in login" error

    Hi guys,

    I've installed MSDE 2000 Release A (Windows XP SP2) and I want to register an existing database which is in file format (MDF, LDF).

    The problem is that I'm getting the error "cannot open database requested in login 'MyDatabase'. Login fails.". I'm using EMS MS SQL Manager to do this.

    In the "logins" under the "Security" folder in the server you want to access - do you see your name ?! If you right click on this and choose "properties" you should be able to see your server and database roles - what are they ?!
