Oracle permissions

    Hi All,

    I am looking to setup replication to oracle using a sql 2000 publisher and need to know what permissions i need for the oracle user. I know i need create/drop table permissions but is there anything specific needed for the replication element?

    Are you attempting to replicate table and data only, correct? if so you need to watch out for the way the table definitions and data structure manipulation. there is no way you are going to able to work with the store procedures. likewise on the views.

    Yes it is purely tables i am replicating.

    I generally use the Connect and Resource roles for my subscribers. Works great for transactional replication with initial snapshot.
