We recently set up a new cluster on our production environment for sql server 2005. The cluster is an active/passive Veritas cluster.
Does anyone know if we should set the Integration Services service to manual or automatic?
Thank you in advance.

If you are running scheduled SSIS jobs, you must have the SSIS service started on the server from which you run the jobs. If you run your packages manually, autostarting the SSIS service is optional.

Tim,
Thank you for taking the time to respond. We currently don't have any scheduled SSIS jobs. My goal was just not to mess up the Veritas failover process by having a service in a start mode it should not be.
So, I'll keep them in manual mode and turn them to automatic if we ever have scheduled SSIS jobs.
Have a great weekend! 🙂
Thanks!
Jen
