  Hi all,

  I'm new to ssis and have a question about credentials. I have a package that is trying to execute an external command and failing. It works fine from my local desktop but not from the SQL Server So I'm thinking its permissions. Is there a sure fire security model that will ensure that ssis packages will fire from SQL Server?

  When you run a package from SQL server it runs under the SQL Agent Service account. You need to create a credential and a proxy to execute the job.
