Hi. I am attempting to install IIS on a Windows 2003 Standard Server (R2 SP2) 64 bit. Windows requests that I enter disc 'Service Pack 2' prompt reads: D:\amd64. It does not accept either disc that shipped with the OS (Disc 1 & Disc 2 R2)?
Any ideas? I installed SP2 from a .exe I downloaded.
Thanks,
Phil.
PS: What Options DO I need to install pre SQL 2005? I inteng to install ALL SQL tools.
Application Server:
Application Server Console
Enable network COM + acsess
IIS - Common Files / IIS Manager / SMTP? / NNTP?

Be sure you downloaded R2 SP2, and not R1 (base W2K3) SP2.
If you install reporting services, you need IIS. Other than that, not sure you need to install. There's not a lot of stuff, but the SQL disc will tell you what is needed before it install.s

Resolved. I had to manually extract the contents of IMS.cab from the Windows CD Disc 1. This enabled me to install fcachdll.dll for the SMTP service. The rest as they say is a mystery!!
Hope this helps others.........maybe!!
