  I need a help on the follow one, please:

  I use an English language SQL 2005 application. Lately I need to hold in a Synopsis field of mine ( VARCHAR(1000) )

  different languages which have some special tags ( French, Spanish ).

  So far was so good and quiet, but now I need to create an XML file with Spanish Synopsis, but all what I get instead of

  those specal characters is a question mark. I've tried to use COLLATE, but with no result as well.

  Were am I wrong?

  Have you tried changing the data type from varchar to nvarchar?
