  Is there a way to find out who created a particular login and granted the previlages?

  I think you can only narrow down by looking at who is in the sysadmin and securityadmin roles as they are the only ones who can create logins.

  For the future you could use a Server Level DDL trigger for CREATE_LOGIN, ALTER_LOGIN_DROP_LOGIN.
