  Hi,

  I need to build a SP that outputs data to an excel report.And in doing so i need to generate Headers for every 1000 records in the SP resultset which belong to a particular category.

  i.eeif there are 2500 record returned by the SP of which 1500 belong to type A and the rest 1000 to type B,then i need to insert a header record after the first 1000 records of type A then populate the 1000 records of type B and then insert the remaining 500 records of type A...

  I suppose you get what i am trying to say....:cool:

  How can i go about this?

  Thanks for your inputs..

  The first link does'nt show anything on excel based reports...the second one has a few pointers...
