  Hi

  I'm sure this is a really silly question with an easy answer

  Can I backup a database on Sql server 2000 Standard and restore it to a server running Sql server 2000 Ent ?

  are there any issue with doing the above and is it possible ?

  Yes, you can. The edition does not matter, so you can even restore a 2000 Enterprise backup to a 2000 Standard edition server.
