I installed SQL Server and Reporting Services on a new Windows 2003 Server.
For some reason, I did not test RS at this time, so I cannot verify it was working.
I then installed Exchange 2003 and Windows SharePoint Services.
After some work, SharePoint and Exchange are both working.
After installing WSS, I followed the article for using RS on a WSS server.
PROBLEM:
When I try to connect to my Report Server, either from the server or from a networked computer, I get the following error:
The underlying connection was closed: Unable to connect to the remote server. logged on as a domain admin or an average user. I've searched online with no luck. Any suggestions? Thanks! -Megan |

I had a a similar problem and solved it by restarting the RPC service.

Thanks for the suggestion.
Restarting the RPC service was not an option on my server - so I rebooted it.
Unfortunately, that didn't fix the problem.
Darn.

I've had the same problem. We implemented Forms Authentication (from microsofts MSDN help on the subject). The existing reports work fine, but in Visual Studio we can no longer deploy reports so no reports can be updated.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
