I am looking to get a better idea of the concepts and fundamentals of datawarehousing, can anyone reccomend some books or such like that will help me do this?
Many thanks

Look up books written by the Kimball Group for a start. This has been an excellent reference for me.
Also, look into books about database design. Most of them give the basics for OLTP databases, but there are gems in there that will help you with your DW design.
I'm in the same boat as you, just a little farther ahead. I've got the theoretical basics. Now I've got to put them into practice. This webcast might help. I'm thinking of attending myself. But it might be half-sales pitch, which is why I haven't yet signed up for it.

Good point, Tim. I just found out about that yesterday. I'm about to spend a lot of time on Channel9. @=)
