This is such and open ended question. If you can't narrow down what is slow, it's hard for us to help you.
First, define slow. How do you know it's slow. What "symptoms" lead you to believe it's slow. How does that compare to what you expect?
Then, what have you checked? Have you looked at any resource usage? Any performance monitors?

Before I will do some tests to see if the real problem is the database, by taking some queries and check the processing time.
For me I will create a test environment (database + application), then run the profiler to detect queries which take a long time to run.
You can first proceed by tracing small functionality then take the trace in the query anlyzer then perform (Index Tuning Wizard) to create the recommended indexes.
Then you have to check in the profiler, for more details.

Siva, based on your post I will venture that you have little to now experience or training in tuning a sql server database system. Do yourself and your company a favor and hire a professional to give you a quick performance review. A day or two could almost certainly provide you with an incredible wealth of areas to improve upon!!

Hi, my name is Anton. If i wanted to hire a professional to review our Company's SQL server performance, where would I get contact details?. I'm in South-Africa. My knoweldge of SQL Server 2005 is very limited.
We run Windows 2003 Std with SQL 2005 (With a Main and Admin Website on the same server as the SQL). The pages open fast but some of the queries tend to take some time executing.
