im trying to book my 70-431 exam ( FYI : im based in Ireland). I can find a few test centres, but when it comes to purchasing exam insurance, there is no option when paying for the test. is there a different way that i must go about getting exam insurance?

I think you need to get in touch with a participating MS Partner to be able to buy

i found this question and answer on the exam insurance faq page:
When can I purchase Exam Insurance? | |
A. | Exam Insurance must be purchased when you purchase your original exam voucher. You can purchase Exam Insurance from November 15, 2006, through May 31, 20 |
does this mean i cant get exam insurance any more?

I think it's still available. There was a trial for a free copy of TechNet for a year if you bought it before May 31, so the FAQ might not be updated.

Exam insurance promotion ends this month, so if you dont sit your exam within the next 5 days your voucher will be useless. so that seems to be the end of that.
