Anyone had much success with pushing data out to blackberries from SQL? Thinking mostly reports here.
Any joy with Reporting services - or do you just dump out textfiles...!

Blackberries have a utility to synch them to Outlook so we synch SQL to Outlook using the Outlook object model. To speed up the process we keep shadow tables of the Outlook data in SQL so queries can be run to reduce the amount of data transferred. I do not know if this will work with reports.

The Blackberry Enterprise Server does weird things to attachments. Even a stock standard PDF was thouroughly mangled and almost unreadable.
Best looking solution we came up with was a html email with numerous nbsp's to pad out the columns.
Enjoy

Cheers for the ideas... must admit I was hoping someone would point me at some extensions for reporting services that function... ! Ah well, life would be too easy.

Just forward your complaints on to Blackberry. I mean a PDF is a PDF is a PDF right? Not if you're viewing on the Blackberry, then it's a mangled bit of html.
