Hi All
I want to get started with SSIS. I'm fairly new to MS SQL (2005 only. Never used 2000 or DTS).
I looked at a few books on Amazon, but they got pretty poor reviews (either bad books or not for beginners).
Does anyone know of any good beginner's books or tutorials. The type of things I want to do are initiate a backup and FTP the backups somewhere. Import Excel docs. Import XML.
TIA
Mark

The book I bought when I started working with SSIS is Professionl SQL Server 2005 Integration Services by WROX. It worked well for me when I first started and I keep the book handy when developing SSIS packages, as does my co-worker.

You can try Turley and others, "MS SSIS Step by Step"; a lot of examples on the CD.
