Dear all,
This morning, I found :
(1)All of my databases' Full-Text Search Catalogs disappeared.
(2)I could not start the SQL Server's Full-Text Search service :
Application popup: mssearch.exe - Application Error : The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142).
My configuration :
Windows 2000 Version 5.0, Build 2195, Service Pack 4
SQL Server 2000, Standard Edition, 8.00.760 (SP3)
My SQL Server has been running properly for a long time. I don't know why its Full-Text Search could not start since last night.

Any recent changes to your server. Did you read the error log of sql and the eventviewer to find the errors of the service.

Thanks.
My server was infected by virus before.
Although we had installed Anti-virus program, I think maybe the "Microsoft Search" service has been corrupted by the virus permantently.
