Forum Jump Drop Down Menu Inconsistent

  • The drop down menu to allow a forum jump is inconsistent.

the order of the items in the list changes depending on which page you are on.

here's an example: if you navigate to the SQL 2000 TSQL forum, the DDL has the list as seen below:

note that under the SQL 2000 category, TSQL is 4th in this example.

Navigate to SQL 2000 General, and the order of the list has changed to this:

Now under the SQL 2000 category, TSQL has moved to the 10th item.

Navigate back to SQL 2000 TSQL: the order may change to yet a different order. it might be related to last posts int he forums or something.

this happens in whatever forum you are in...its really difficult to navigate when the order changes in anon predicatable fashion.

I'd really like to see the order Grouped by Major category, like SQL 2005, then 2000, then 2008, etc,and then alphabetically by forum name

  • That's got to be something (or something missing) in the forum code. I'll take a look.
