Unable to open BCP host data file

    I setup the push transaction replication between sql server 2005 (Subscriber) and 2000 (Publisher and local distribitor) over WAN.

    1. During I first snapshot of 5 articles. It was delivered sucessfull.

    2. Adding additional 4 articles and run the second snapshot.

    Returned an error "Unable to open BCP host data file (Source: MSSQL Server, Error number: S1000)"

    Please help and advise.

    Sounds like a problem with one of the files. I'd reset the snapshot and see if that works.

    Steve,

    I tried reinitialize Subscription several times but it did not work.

    Then I tried to replicate Northwind database and it works.

    Will those specific publisher database tables prevent or cause snapshot failed.?

    However, I was able to replicate those publisher database tables before upgrading our data center on sql server 2005.

    Weird!!! I selected all publisher article and run the snapshot once.

    It works!!! Thanks a lot.
