I have installed Windows Vista 64 Business and SQL 2005 64 edition with SP2. I was installed SQL without Reporting Services. Now I am trying to add RS and I have a problem with installation. When installation checks system, it says that I haven’t ASP.NET version registration. The warning is:
- ASP.Net Version Registration Requirement (Warning)

Failed to find the ASP.Net Version Registration with Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS).
I was tried to register ASP. NET inside different .NET frameworks with aspnet_regiis –i, but this doesn’t help.
Does anybody have successfully installed RS on such environment? What I have to do to register ASP.NET so that SQL installation will understand that I have it registered,
Regards

Yes, installing RS on Vista is quite a challenge and if you're using Vista Home (basic or premium) it is even wortse since Windows Authentification won't work.
In this blog you find the features you need to enable in IIS : http://blogs.msdn.com/bwelcker/archive/2007/03/19/candy-apple-grey-installing-ssrs-and-windows-vista.aspx

This problem started with Win2003 when IIS comes with most components needed to run Asp.net disabled, Vista has taken it one step so try the link below and enable all the compnents needed to run Asp.net so you can install SSRS in Vista. Hope this helps.

This is no help to the original poster, but if anybody else is considering buying Vista then you should consider getting a TechNet subscription instead. It costs about the same as Vista.
TechNet allows you to install multiple operating systems for personal use. At home I run SQL 2005 EE on W2003 EE on my 64-bit box. It makes life a lot easier than struggling to get SQL working OK on Vista.
btw, on another partition I run Vista Ultimate with Office 2007 Ultimate. Can't say I'm that impressed with the result, but it all came courtesy of my TechNet subscription.

I ran into this with Ultimate also. On 64 bit platforms you have to tell IIS to run in 32bit mode. Don't remember how I did this though. SQL Reporting services does not support IIS 64bit

Are you really trying to use Vista for a business application? Ouch.
Using Vista for business reminds me of the old Honda/Harley motorcycle joke:
The Honda motorcycle driver rides up next to the Harley rider and says 'I can make my bike run just like yours'.
. . .
He then proceeds to reach down and pull off two spark plug wires.

How to switch between x64 and 32 bit frameworks for IIS
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894435
Although you should only need to do this if hosting something on the IIS server that is 32 bit only. RS can run on x64 bit.
I have no experience with x64 bit Vista - just x64 bit on W2003 server. But do recall at the end of SP2 (?) installation seeing a prompt about Vista provisioning. So you may want to take a look at that.

And I also think you may want to review this.
You mentioned installing SP2 then 'adding' RS.
After you've SP's SQL Server, you should use a command prompt to add or remove components.
