Multiple sql 2005 instances -- multiple tempdb''s?

  If we install 2 sql 2005 instances on the same server will each have its own "tempdb" database? (I'd hope so. If all instances used a single tempdb contention could be a big issue.)

  Yes each instance will have its own copy of master, model, msdb and tempdb database. Those can't be shared with other instances.
