We recently upgraded our SQL Server 2005 (32 bit)(clustered)
database instance to SP2. Everything seems to be running fine
with the exception of database mail. We recieve the following
error when trying to send mail: Has anyone else run into this
problem? Thanks

Did you enabled database mail procedures in SAC?
Check sql error and mail log for more info...

Yes, Database mail stored procedures are enabled in the Surface Are Configuration.
The only messages in the log files is the one that I reported which came from the
Application event log and an "Activation failed" error that was in the Database Mail
Log.

There is a hotfix related to Database Mail and SP2, I'm not positive the KB article off the top of my head but do a search on microsoft's website

We are receiving the same error message as stated in this post. The KB article is a hotfix for database mail, but it seems to be related only to private accounts and the error message is different. Did this fix work to fix the "Invalid Parameter" error?
Thanks,
Simone

What are your specific problems, errors, settings etc ?? ....
Being specific will get you better answers (not that I am likely to have any).
Also, I think it would be better to start a new thread instead of bringing up a 4 year old thread of someone else's issues that are not exactly the same as yours (SP2 vs SP3 for example)
