Hi
For some reason the keyword "varchar" is no longer highlighted blue in my Management Studio text editor. "nvarchar" is fine, as is "char", but "varchar" remains stubbornly black. I know it's not exactly the end of the world, but it is a bit annoying nevertheless.
Does anyone know if the keywords are stored anywhere, or if I can force Management Studio to recognise varchar somehow?
Thanks,
Duncan

that's weird. does it persist even after a reboot?
if so I guess you'll just have to do everything in unicode.

It certainly is weird. Rebooting has no effect on the situation, and part of the problem is I don't know when it started happening either. I'm guessing whatever it is that stores the keyword information has become corrupted at some point, but not knowing what or where that might be, I'm at a bit of loss as to how to fix it.
Unicode it is then...

or just reinstall the client tools. sucks but I don't have a better suggestion. maybe someone else will come along with a better answer.
