OLE To Teradata

  • Hi there.

I am trying to set up Linked Server Connection to Teradata using Microsoft jet 4.0 OLE DB Provider.

When I try to refresh the table list under Enterprise Manager/Linked Servers I get the following error:

    Any Ideas?

    Regards

  • No problem.

    Error Message is:

'Error 7302: Could Not Create an instance of OLE DB provider 'TDOLEDB.1

OLE DB error trace[Non-interface erro: CoCreate of DSO for TDOLEDB.1 Returned 0x80040154]'

    Cheers

  • The error code 0x80040154 is for "Class Not Registered". I'm wondering if your connection values are correct?

There is a section on this site: http://weblogs.sqlteam.com/phils/ about linking TeraData to Sql Server using a TeraData Ole DB driver (it's a way down the page).

You can get the OLE DB driver from here: http://www.teradata.com/t/page/130536

Sorry I can't help you further myself, let me know how it goes!
