Guys,
I am new to SQL Server 2005. I have installed Developer edition. I want to transfer data through DTS which is now SSIS - Sql Server Integration Service I believe.
One question though how do I access SSIS, I am doing normal imports and exports using the wizards. Is there any other interface to access the SSIS??
Please let me know
Thanks

in the program group in the start menu, Business Development Intelligence Studio or BIDS

OR... you can go into Management Studio on the target db and goto Tasks, import data and it will present a normal import/export wizard similar to SQL 2000 wizard. The problem that I am having is that you save it and then I am foggy. It saves it in msdb but you have to goto Integration Services to see it but the part is I don't know how you can open it up to edit it. You can use BI Development Studio but i cannot figure out how to open a saved in msdb package though. It sure isn't as straightforward as SS2000 !

Markus,
If you find out how to do this, I'd appreciate your posting the answer here, because that is one of my big problems with this conversion.

Once you save the import/export package to msdb goto Business Intelligence Development Studio, goto file, open, open project solution.
