  • I saved a DTS to the SQL 2005 server. I cannot seem to find the saved package in SQL 2005 Server Management Studio. Where might it be buried?

  • In Object Explorer, expand Management, expand Legacy, expand Data Transformation Services.  The packages listed are those that are stored in msdb.

  • hhhmmm, I don't see anything under Mgmt -> Legacy -> DTS. I tried again and double checked that I saved it to right server. I also checked another server, but it was there.

  • Did you save the package as a file then import it in Management Studio?  That worked for me.

  • Are you looking under the Database Engine or did you actually connect via Object Explorer to the Integration Services object?

  • He shouldn't have to connect to Integration Services if the package is still a SQL 2000 DTS package.  But maybe I shouldn't have assumed that.

How about it SBICKFORD, is the package still DTS or did you migrate it to SSIS?
