  Prior to SQL Server 2005, SQL Server had a problem of concurrency that blocked Readers with Writers and Writers with Readers. Does this version of SQL Server has any solution for this. (Multi-Version Concurrency Control).

  SQL 2005 now has "Snapshot Isolation" which is intended to avoid this problem. Haven't have a chance to play around with it as yet though.
