In attempting to attach the AdventureWorks database to SQL Server 2005 (localhost) I get the following error:
Could not find row in sysindexes for database ID 17, object ID 1, index ID 1. Run DBCC CHECKTABLE on sysindexes.
Could not open new database 'AdventureWorks'. CREATE DATABASE is aborted. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 602)
I ran DBCC CHECKTABLE and generated no errors.
I have perfomred this operation several times before with no problems but never on this workstation.
Just curious if anyone else run into this?

I just attached it two weeks back you are not supposed to create a database just right click in the database pane and click attach and navigate to the data sub folder in Microsoft SQL Server folder in programs look in MSSQL1 data sub folder and attach it takes seconds. Hope this helps.

Attaching the AdventureWorks database is exactly what I was sttempting to do when I got the error. When I have done this in the past, like you, it worked just fine. It might be that I have SQL 2000 and SQL 2005 installed on the same test server that is the problem. I am going to try to look into that further today.
