SQL2000 Reporting Services and SQL2005 DB server

    I will be upgrading my SQL2000 database to SQL2005 next month. Will my existing SQL2000 RS reports running on a SQL2000 Report Server run against the SQL2005 databases without upgrading the report server.

    Should work, I know that you can host a Reporting Services 2005 instillation on a SQL 2000 Database Engine instance.  So unless you specifically indicate that you also want to upgrade your Reporting Services instance when you upgrade you should be fine.

    However as usual if this is a production environment I would do some testing first.

    Thanks for the insight.  BTW, I have found testing to be overrated.  It is a lot more exciting to watch the fireworks. 

    Just kidding, I don't even like surprises in my DEV. instance.
