Hi all, need ur help here...
I attend to create a new database in the local harddisk in the server, the hard drive has been divided into 3 partition (C, D, and E)...
The problem is i can't put the mdf and ldf files for the new database in the drive E, this partition has the biggest size. Why only C and D are showing in the option?
is there anyone how to solve this...thx in advance...

Does the account that runs SQLServer have access to the E partition?

Look at the properties of the MSSQLSERVER service in the Services applet. You can also find the same information in Enterprise Manager by right-clicking on the server name, choosing Properties and clicking on the Security tab.

Hi John, I did that you've suggested, my SQL Server machine run from the option: "system account" not the option "this account". What is that mean?
I always login to the server as administrator, but i can put the mdf file in the drive E, instead the option only C and D. Did anyone have any experiences on this?

Are you sure this E: drive is local, not mapped network drive?

Hi Sergiy,
Yes, i'm sure. I have partitioned the server hard disk into three partitions C, D and E
