There is Profiler in SQL Server 2005 but just not in Express. Hope this helps.

The capacity specification page comes with a foot note about Express, you can use profiler in other edition to profile Express, I would have told the person that if asked.

Anyone know if the Profiler from the 180-day trial of SQL Server 2005 Full Edition offered on the MS site expires after the 180 days? The 180-day trial of SQL Server 2000 offered a Tools Only install option that allowed installation of Profiler, etc and these did not expire after 180 days.

The no depolyment developer edition is only beer money here in the US so I really don't think it is worth using expired tools in eval version. Try the link below for the developer edition for under $35. Hope this helps.

You can try this: http://sqlprofiler.googlepages.com/
It is open source and free.
