SQL 2000 64-Bit edition?

  • I'm trying to find a solid answer on how to utilize the 64-bit version of SQL 2000. From what I've read, it's included in SP4. I'm currently running 32-bit hardware, so I'm wondering if switching it out to 64-bit, SQL Server will automatically sense the environment and run under 64-bit instructions.  Am I on the right page, or is there anything else I need to do?  Thanks!

  • SQL Server 2000 64-bit software is available only for 64-bit IA opeating systems and you can't have that installed in 32 bit machines.
